Most of companies that are yet to start generating electricity and which recently started power generation but have excessive expenses have incurred loss.
Some of them are already listed in NEPSE by issuing initial public offering (IPO) to the general public, however, they are far from distributing dividend for still few years.
As per the published reports, Sahas Urja has earned the highest profit of Rs 470 million followed by Chilime Hydropower Rs 460 million and Sanima Hydropower with Rs 310 million in net profit.
Meanwhile, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower has logged the highest loss of Rs 1.29 billion. Similalry, Arun Kabeli incurred loss of Rs 340 million and Trishuli Hydropower Rs 300 million.
Upper Earns Highest Income; Ten Companies Nil
By the review period, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower earned the highest income of Rs 6.53 billion followed by Sahas Urja with Rs 2.02 billion and Green Venture with Rs 1.18 billion in income.
Meanwhile, Trishuli Hydropower, Pancthar Power, Barun Hdyropower, Sanima Middle Tamor, Rasuwagadhi Hydropower, Greenlife Hydropower, Mid Bhotekoshi Hydropower, Shuvam Power, Menchiyam Hydropower and Vision Lumbini Hydropower have not started power generation to earn.

52 Companies Record Reserve Loss
In the review period, Upper Tamakoshi has the highest paid-up capital of Rs 21.18 billion while Kutheli Bukhari Hydropower has the least paid-up capital of Rs 220 million.
In terms of reserve, Butwal Power has the higest reserve fund of Rs 3.62 billion while Upper Tamakoshi has the highest reserve loss of Rs 7.78 billion. During the period, 52 out of 87 companies recorded reserve loss.
45 companies Log LPS, 56 Pen negative networth
By the third quarter, 45 companies have incurred loss per share. As per the report, Mandu Hdyropower has the highest EPS of Rs 21.65 while Maya Khola Hydropower has highest LPS of Rs 30.
