Light to heavy rainfall in different places

The effects of monsoon winds are continuing across the country.

According to a weather forecast bulletin issued by the Weather Forecasting Division today, the low pressure line of the monsoon is around the average location towards the west and towards the south of the average location in the east.

At present, the weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country while light rain is taking place at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes and Gandaki provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes and Gandaki provinces.

The Department has urged the authorities concerned to take necessary precautions to avoid the disaster-triggered risk such as landslide, flood, and soil erosion in the areas.(RSS)
