On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 14.21 points to close at 2,950.16 points. Likewise, the sensitive float index increased by 1.98 points, while the float index increased by 1.03 points and the sensitive float index increased by 0.72 points.
However, the transaction volume has decreased slightly. A total of 30,438,000 shares of 343 stocks worth Rs 13.16 billion were traded in 142,734 trades on the day.
On this day, 5 stocks were traded at positive circuit levels. Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills, Super Khudi Hydropower, Hotel Forest Inn, Solu Hydropower and Bhujung Hydropower were traded in the positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share prices of National Hydropower and Ridi Power Company surged by more than 6 percent while the share prices of Shubham Power increased by nearly 6 percent. Moreover, shares of Panchakanya Mai Hydropower fell by 7.48 percent on the day.
On the basis of transaction amount, NRN Infrastructure and Development is at the top position with Rs 942.9 million trade amount. Similarly, SY Panel Nepal logs trade worth Rs 720 million and National Hydropower records trade amount of Rs 460 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 9 sub-groups have increased while the indices of 3 sub-groups have decreased. The index of hydropower sub-group has increased the most by 1.56 percent and the production and processing sub-group index increased by 1.5 percent. Meanwhile, the trade sub-group index fell the most by 2.84 percent on the day. On this day, the index of the mutual fund sub-group remained stable.
