Prior to this, the NEPSE index closed 2800 points lower on April 7. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 2.94 points, while the Float Index decreased by 1.34 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 1.16 points.
Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 11,375,000 units of shares worth Rs 5.09 billion were traded in 93,907 trades of 348 stocks on the day.
On this day, the shares of two stocks were traded at the positive circuit level. Shares of Palpa Cement Industries and Shikhar Power Development were traded in the positive circuit level on the day. Similarly, the share price of Corporate Development Bank has increased by about 9.5 percent on the day. The share price of Suryakunda Hydro Electric, which has been trading at a positive circuit level in recent days, fell the most by 11.79 percent on the day.
Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list on the basis of turnover volume on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 304.2 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Solu Hydropower and Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company worth Rs 260 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Hotel Forest Inn crossed Rs 220 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of three sub-groups have increased while the indices of 10 sub-groups have decreased. The sub-group indices of manufacuture and processing and trading and mutual fund increased slightly. The hotel and tourism sub-group index decreased the most by 1.42 percent on the day. Likewise, the indices of finance, hydropower and non-life insurance sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent on the day.
