On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 8.78 points to close at 2,712.86 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index increased by 1.26 points, while the Float Index increased by 0.60 points and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.47 points.
Despite the rise in index, the transaction volume has decreased. A total of 7,734, 012 units of shares of 335 scrips worth Rs 3.43 billion were traded in 62,025 trades.
Today, share price of Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company rose the most by 11.16 percent on the day. Similarly, the share price of Solu Hydropower Company increased by more than 7.5 percent and Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by 7 percent. Meanwhile, share price of Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha fell by 9.31 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover on the day, Solu Hydropower is at the top position. The company's shares worth Rs 235.7 million were traded on the day. Similarly, Reliance Spinning Mills record transaction worth Rs 125 million while the turnover of National Hydropower has crossed Rs 115 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 7 sub-groups have increased while the indices of other six sub-groups have decreased. The index of the hydropower sub-group increased the most by 1.02 percent on the day. The indices of development banks, finance, hotel and tourism, microfinance, non-life insurance and trading sub-groups decreased slightly.
