The HoR session is expected to begin deliberations on the Appropriation Bill. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, group-wise discussions on various headings under the Appropriation Bill-2083 BS will be held.
As per the schedule, discussions will include the budget allocations for the Ministry of Youth, Labour, an Employment; the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies; the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment; the Ministry of Information and Communications; the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; the Ministry of Education and Sports; the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration; and the Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social Security.
Likewise, the Upper House session will be centered on general discussions on the government's estimations of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2083-84 BS (2026-27).
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to respond to concerns raised during the discussions on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. (RSS)
