NEPSE Index Declines for 3rd Consecutive Day

On the first trading day of the week, the NEPSE index has again decreased. On Monday, the NEPSE index decreased by 12.26 points to close at 2,711.76 points.

Similarly, the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.96 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.56 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.26 points.

Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction amount has increased on this day. A total of 1,739,998 units of shares worth Rs 4.41 billion were traded in 51,702 trades on the day.

On this day, the shares of two stocks were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Sopan Pharmaceuticals  and Appolo Hydropower were traded in the positive circuit level on the day. Other stocks that have risen in value have gained less than 5 percent. Shares of Green Development Bank fell the most on the day, falling by 7.94 percent. Similarly, the share price of Rawa Energy Development has increased by more than 7 percent on the day.

On the basis of turnover, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 38.85 crore were traded on the day. Similarly, 10.25 percent NBBL debentures worth Rs 270 million were traded on the day, while Laxmi Sunrise Bank had a turnover of Rs 22.5 crore.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the index of all sub-groups except one has decreased. On this day, the indices of the manufacturing and processing sub-group increased marginally. The index of other sub-groups posted a 1.82 percent decrease. Likewise, the trading and finance sub-group index decreased by more than 1 percent on the day.
