The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has announced temporary service disruptions lasting until July 24, 2026, as it undergoes a major system upgrade.

The department is currently executing a database migration and integrating newly revised provincial tax rates for the start of the fiscal year.

According to an official notice issued on Monday, the technical overhaul aims to make the digital system more secure, systematic, and customer-friendly.

Key Details for Service Recipients:

  • Timeline: Disruptions are expected to last about a week, with normal operations resuming after July 24.

  • Service Advisory: The general public is strongly advised to avoid visiting transport offices unless it is an absolute emergency.

  • Reason for Delay: The system requires comprehensive adjustments to correctly input varying tax structures determined by individual provincial governments.

The DoTM has apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to service seekers, emphasizing that this database migration is a necessary step toward strengthening long-term system infrastructure.
