NEPSE index rises, transaction volume also rises

On the second trading day of the week, the NEPSE index increased slightly. The index which has been rising for the last five days has continued its trend this day as well.

On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 7.25 points to close at 2,726.49 points. On this day, the sensitive index has decreased by 0.18 points and the float index has increased by 0.19 points. The sensitive float index is stable on the day.

Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A total of 14,924,302 shares worth Rs 6.67 billion were traded in 75,010 trades on the day.

On this day, shares of Everest Color were traded at a positive circuit level  as well. The company's share price rose by Rs 55.80 to Rs 428.20 on the day. Similarly, the share price of Kalanga Hydro increased by 7.5 percent and the share price of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) increased by 7.5 percent. Meanwhile, Nabil Debentures 2089, which was trading 7 percent, fell 7.44 percent on the day.

On the basis of transaction amount, Ridi Power Company is at the top on this day. The company's shares worth Rs 557.7 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company worth Rs 315 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Reliance Spinning Mills crossed Rs 273 million.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have increased while the indices of eight sub-groups have decreased. The trading sub-group index increased the most by 2.88 percent on the day. Likewise, the indices of other sub-groups increased by more than 1 percent while the indices of banking, investment and manufacturing and processing sub-groups increased modestly.
