In the last six trading days, the NEPSE index has increased by 156.3 points. NEPSE index saw a correction on the day as short-term investors secured profits on the rising index.
On the day, the NEPSE index decreased by 13.95 points to close at 2,712.54 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 2.10 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.77 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.58 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 11,362,456 units of shares worth Rs 5.1 billion were traded in 56,094 trades on the day.
On the day, shares of Everest Color were traded at a positive circuit level. The company's share price rose by Rs 64.20 to close at Rs 492.40 on the day. Similarly, the share price of Bungal Hydro has increased by 10.5 percent and the share price of Salpa Development Bank has increased by 6 percent. Meanwhile, the price of 9.5 percent NCC Debenture 2086 decreased by 7.16 percent on the day.
On the basis of transaction amount, Ridi Power Company is at the top on this day with transaction worth Rs 423 million. Similarly, shares worth Rs 280 million of NRN Infrastructure and Development were traded on the day, while the turnover of Reliance Spinning Mills crossed Rs 260 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of two sub-groups have increased while the indices of 11 sub-groups have decreased. The indices of the finance and manufacturing and processing sub-groups increased marginally on the day. The indices of the trading and non-life insurance sub-group decreased by 2.60 percent and 1.26 percent respectively.
