On the day, the NEPSE index increased by 8.81 points to close at 2651.21 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index has increased by 0.97 points, while the Float Index has increased by 0.60 points and the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 0.36 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A total of 10,225,874 units of shares worth Rs 3.72 billion were traded in 45,822 trades on the day.
On this day, shares of Sarbottam Paints and Mount Everest Power Development were traded at a positive circuit level. Similarly, the share price of Super Khudi Hydropower increased by 13 percent while the share price of Ghalemdi Hydropower increased by 12 percent. Meanwhile, shares of Emerging Nepal decreased by 5.11 percent in the trading session.
On the basis of transaction amount, Ghalemdi Hydro is at the top position on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 299.8 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth Rs 165 million of NRN Infrastructure and Development were traded on the day, while the transaction amount of Solu Hydropower crossed Rs 155 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 10 sub-groups have increased while the indices of two sub-groups have decreased. Banking, development banks, finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower, life insurance, manufacturing and processing, microfinance, non-life insurance and other sub-groups saw a slight increase on the day. However, the index of the trading sub-group remained stable on this day.
