On the day, the NEPSE index decreased by 2.25 points to close at 2,641.58 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 1.08 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.51 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.49 points.
Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction volume has increased on this day. A total of 11,932,035 units of shares worth Rs 5.52 billion were traded in 56,818 trades on the day.
Today, shares of Sarvottam Paints and Mount Everest Power Development were traded at positive circuit level. Shares of Sarbottam Paints rose by Rs 59.50 to Rs 456.20 while the share price of Mount Everest Power was up by Rs 68.40 to close at Rs 524.60. Similarly, the share prices of Reliance Spinning Mills and Sagarmatha Hydropower Company rose by more than 11 percent on the day. Meanwhile, shares of First Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha fell the most by 6.63 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover, Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 1.38 billion were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Solu Hydropower worth Rs 385 million were traded and shares of Ridi Power worth Rs 165 million were traded on the day.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have increased while the indices of eight sub-groups have decreased. The manufacturing and processing sub-group index increased by 1.30 percent today. Likewise, the indices of hydropower, mutual funds, others and Trading sub-groups increased marginally. The index of the finance sub-group decreased the most by 1.14 percent.
