NEPSE Index and Transaction Volume Declines

On the second trading day of the week, the NEPSE index has again decreased. The index has been declining for the past two days.

 

On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 19.34 points to close at 2,622.48 points. Likewise, the sensitive index decreased by 2.55 points, while the float index decreased by 1.30 points and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.88 points.

Along with index, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 15,196,982 units of shares worth Rs 5.07 billion were traded in 55,246 trades on the day.

On the day, shares of Sarbottam Paints and Mount Everest Power Development were traded at a positive circuit level. Today, shares of Sarbottam Paints rose by Rs 68.40 to close at Rs 524.60 while the share price of Mount Everest was up by Rs 78.60 to close at Rs 603.20. Meanwhile, share price of Sagarmatha Hydropower Company fell by 10.63 percent on the day.

On the basis of transaction amount, Agricultural Bonds (9-year) are at the top on this day. The bond worth Rs 506.8 million was traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth more than Rs 390 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Khani Khola Hydropower Company crossed Rs 250 million.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups have decreased while the indices of one sub-group have increased. The manufacturing and processing sub-group index decreased the most by 1.40 percent. The index of the trading sub-group increased marginally on the day.
