On Thursday, the NEPSE index decreased by 1.04 points to close at 2557.31 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.54 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.16 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.31 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 10,626,370 units of shares worth Rs 3.78 billion were traded in 52,575 trades on the day.
Today also, shares of Sarvottam Paints traded at positive circuit levels for the 11th consecutive trading day. The company's share price rose by Rs 181.90 paise to close at Rs 1,394.80 on the day. Likewise, the share price of Ghorahi Cement Industry has increased by more than 8 percent and the share price of Sonapur Minerals and Oil has increased by more than 5 percent. Meanwhile, shares of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company fell by 9.45 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover, Shivam Cements topped the list on the day. Shares worth Rs 217.5 million were traded on the day. Likewise, shares of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. stood at Rs 165 million while Chilime Hydropower Company traded over Rs 160 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of eight sub-groups have increased while the indices of five sub-groups have decreased. The manufacturing and processing sub-group index increased the most by 1.75 percent on the day. Likewise, the indices of banking, development bank, finance, hotel and tourism, investment, microfinance and business sub-group increased on the day. On this day, the mutual fund sub-group index fell the most by 3.12 percent. Likewise, the indices of non-life insurance sub-group decreased by more than 2 percent while the indices of other sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent.
