Unilever is conducting its 25th AGM on October 24. The 150th board of directors meeting held on August 28 de3cided to call the AGM in Banquet Hall, Hotel Annapurna, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu at 4:00 PM.
The meeting is supposed to endorse a proposal of distributing Rs 700 per unit cash dividend to its shareholders. It will distribute Rs 644.7 million in cash dividend.
The company decreased the amount of cash dividend to be distributed to its shareholders compared to the previous FY despite increasing net profit.
In the previous FY, the company distributed Rs 1270 including a special bonus of Rs 170 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary.
The company with Rs 92.1 million in paid-up capital earned Rs 999.4 million in net profit in the last FY. In the previous FY, the net profit was Rs 965.2 million.
