Non-life Insurance Companies Earns Net Insurance Premium of Rs 5.36 Bn in Q2

Out of the 20 non-life insurance companies operating in Nepal, 15 of them are listed in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). Those listed 15 non-life insurance companies earned a net insurance premium of Rs 5.36 billion in the second quarter of the current FY.

Among them, Shikhar Insurance earned the highest net insurance premium of Rs 904.9 million. Shikhar insurance also earned the highest net profit during the period amounting to Rs 212 million.

Meanwhile, United Insurance earned the lowest i.e. Rs 155.7 million in the net insurance premium and Rs 17.4 million in net profit.

Out of the total listed companies, only 5 companies have met the required minimum paid-up capital of Rs 1 billion. The companies include Neco Insurance, Shikhar Insurance, Himalayan General Insurance, Nepal Insurance and Prabhu Insurance.

 

 

Similarly, in terms of EPS and net worth per share, Rastriya Beema Company maintained the highest EPS of Rs 126.34 and net worth per share of Rs 908.16.
