Net Insurance Premium of Lumbini General Insurance Declines

The net insurance premium of Lumbini General Insurance (LFIL) has decreased by Rs 87.2 million to Rs 462.5 million in the third quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 549.7 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

The company earned Rs 149.3 million in net profit in the review period. Such profit was Rs 144.7 million in the corresponding period of the last FY.  

The company earned Rs 110 million from reinsurance commission and Rs 48.9 million from investment, loan and other income.

The company with Rs 880 million in paid-up capital has insurance fund of Rs 514.2 million, reserve fund of Rs 217.1million and disaster fund of Rs 47.5 million.

The company issued 117,123 insurance policies and has earned Rs 906.9 million in total insurance premium. The company paid Rs 515.2 million to 3,441 claims and has outstanding claim payment of Rs 668 million to 2,898 claims.

During the period, the company maintained Rs 22.62 in EPS, Rs 188.51 in net worth per share and has P/E ratio of 22.46 times.
