Last day to secure dividend of two microfinance companies

Today is the last day to secure dividend of two microfinance companies including Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Samata Microfinance. The companies are closing their books on January 3, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till January 2 will be eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (MMFDB) is conducting AGM on January 13 in Miraball Resort and Hotel, Dhulikhel at 11:00 AM.

The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 45 percent stock and 2.36 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. Moreover, the meeting will delegate authority to BOD to forward merger/acquisition, and elect board of directors.

Given that the trading of the company in NEPSE has been suspended from May 14 due to ongoing merger process with Kisan Microfinance and Nagbeli Laghubitta, the shareholders registered in its book till May 13 will be eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Presently, the company has a paid-up capital of Rs 128.7 million that will each Rs 186.7 million after the bonus share distribution.

Similarly, Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SMATA) has called out AGM on January 14 in Hotel Ichya, Simara at 1:00 PM.

The meeting will approve a proposal of distributing 5 percent stock and 5.52 percent cash dividend including tax.

Moreover, the meeting will delegate authority to BOD to forward merger/acquisition, elect one female director and forward procedure to upgrade to national-level microfinance.

Presently, the company has a paid-up capital of Rs 182 million that will reach Rs 191 million after the bonus share distribution.
