Prime Life Insurance Earns Net Insurance Premium of above Rs 2 Bn

Prime Life Insurance (PLIC) has earned a net insurance premium of Rs 2.23 billion in the third quarter of the current FY COMPARED TO Rs 1.87 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Similarly, the company earned Rs 652.2 million from investment, loan and other income and Rs 77.2 million from loan against policies of Rs 1.17 billion.

Similarly, the company increased it net profit by Rs 200 million to Rs 183 million compared to Rs 163.6 million of the review period of the last FY.

The company with paid-up capital of Rs 2.79 billion has reserve fund of Rs 1.05 billion, life insurance fund of Rs 10.66 billion and disaster fund of Rs 121.6 million.

The company paid Rs 503.6 million to 1,936 claims and has outstanding claim payment of Rs 13.9 million to 43 claims.

The company logged EPS of Rs 12.16, net worth per share of Rs 151.06 and P/E ratio of 41.04 times.
