Nepal Confirms 464 New Cases of COVID-19

Nepal has confirmed 464new cases of COVID-19 on August 7.  With this, the number of COVID-19 cases has totaled 22,214 in the country, of which, 6,330 are active cases.

Out of the total number detected today, 92 cases are from Kathmandu, 4 from Bhaktapur and 10 from Lalitpur.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 425 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery from the deadly disease. The number of recovered cases has totaled 15,814 in the country.

As per the Ministry of Health and Population, Kathmandu, Parsa, Mahottari and Rautahat districts have above 500 patients.

‘No Option Of Not Allowing E-Banking’

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said that the microfinance companies are allowed to carry out e-banking services. Although the mechanism related to e-banking has been removed from unified directives, approval for e-banking has been given by the Department of Payment, said NRB.
