Nepal reports 1,016 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours; Death tolls 114

On August 18, Nepal has reported 1,016 new COVID-19 cases. With the addition, the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 28,257 out of which 10,563 are active cases.

Out of the total number detected today, 138 cases are from Kathmandu, 17 from Bhaktapur and 50 from Lalitpur.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 85 patients were discharged from the hospital after recovering from the disease. The number of recovered cases has totaled 17,580 in the country.

As per the ministry of health and population, 13,926 are in quarantine while 10,563 are in isolation.

Moreover, Nepal witnessed 7additional deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of death has reached 114 in the country.
