Net Profit Of Arun Valley Increases Despite Decreased Income

The net profit of Arun Valley Hydropower (AHPC) has increased by 141.17 percent to Rs 32.9 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 13.6 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Although the income from sale of electricity of the company decreased during the period, the net profit of the company increased backed by an increase in income of other resources.

During the period, the company earned Rs 13.2 million through the sale of electricity a fall of 34.71 percent from the earlier Rs 20.3 million.

Similarly, the company earned Rs 33.7 million from other sources. The company with Rs 998.3 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 111.8 million. It maintained EPS of Rs 13.19, net worth per share of Rs 111.20 and P/E ratio of 16.75 times.
