Ruling coalition Agrees to Table MCC in Parliament

The ruling coalition has agreed to table US-Funded the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement in parliament for ratification.

Currently, a meeting of the ruling coalition is sitting at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.

Nepali Congress party which is leading the current government is vocal about the ratification of the agreement as it is. However,

CPN (Unified Socialist) has maintained that it won’t vote to ratify the agreement until some amendments are brought in the agreement.

Meanwhile, the CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to quit the government if the MCC agreement is pushed for ratification without bringing amendments in it.
