CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa-5 for sixth time. Oli secured 52,315 votes and set a landslide victory.
Oli defeated Nepali Congress candidate Khagendra Adhikari, his nearest compititor, by a wide margin of 28,574 votes. Adhikari garnered 23,741 votes.
The gold price has increased while the silver price has decreased on June 26.
