Insurance Companies Earn Nearly 4 Bn by extending loan against Policies of Rs 78 Bn

In the second quarter of the current FY, 18 life insurance companies operating in Nepal have extended loan against policies of Rs 78.23 billion.

During the period, Nepal Life Insurance extend the highest loan of Rs 27.89 billion followed by LIC Nepal of Rs 20.80 billion and National Life Rs 9.48 billion.

Meanwhile, Reliable Nepal Life Insurance extended the lowest loan against policies of Rs 215 million.

The companies earned Rs 3.91 billion by extending loan against polices of Rs 78.23 billion. Nepal Life earned the highest income of Rs 1.57 billion which is 40.23 percent of the total income earned. In the meantime, Reliable Nepal earned the lowest income of Rs 2.4 million through the loan against policies.
