Banknotes In Circulation Increasing; Foreign Reserve Increasing As Well

As per Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of the country, paper notes worth Rs 623 billion are in circulation by Baishakh.

The data shows that the note circulation increased by Rs 12 billion in the month compared to RS 611 billion in the month of Chaitra.

 According to NRB, right now denomination of Rs 1,2,5,10,20,25,50,100,500 and 1000 of nepali currency are in circulation in the country. The total amount of money in circulation denoted by NRB is the money available with individuals, institutions and banks and financial institutions.

Similarly, foreign reserve with NRB is also increasing in recent time. The banks which had Rs 1,372 trillion foreign exchange reserve by Chaitra has logged the reserve of Rs 1.409 trillion by Baishakh. The foreign reserve increased by Rs 37 billion in a month.
