As per the published notices, the average interest rate on individual fixed deposits has declined in Kartik compared to Ashoj.
The average interest rates declined by average 0.210 percent point compared to Ashoj. The average interest rate which was 6.398 percent point in Ashoj has declined to 6.187 percent point in Kartik.
Out of 20 commercial banks, 10 have cut, nine have continued and one has raised the interest rates.
Among them, Citizens Bank and Himalayan Bank have cut the highest i.e. 0.75 percent point interest rate for Kartik. Meanwhile, Sanima Bank raised the rates by 0.25 percent point.
For the month of Kartik, Machhapuchchhre Bank is set to give highest interest rate for individual fixed deposit while Citizens Bank is giving the lowest interest rate.
