Life Insurance Companies Raise Net Profit by 10%

In the last FY, life insurance companies raised their net profit by an average of 10 percent.

During the period, Nepal Life Insurance earned the highest net profit. The company earned net profit of Rs 603.3 million in the review period. Similarly, Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) earned the least profit of Rs 315 million. In the corresponding period of the previous FY, Himalayan Life Insurance earned the highest profit of Rs 633.9 million while Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) earned the lowest profit of Rs 238.5 million.

After Nepal Life Insurance, IME Life Insurance recorded Rs 583.3 million in net profit.

Meanwhile, Asian Life Insurance has the highest EPS of Rs 12.04 and Life Insurance Corporation Nepal has lowest EPS of Rs 5.74.

Based on net worth, Life Insurance Corporation Nepal has the highest net worth of Rs 187.47. All listed life insurance corporation have net worth above Rs 100. During the period, Crest Micro Life has the lowest EPS of Rs 104.51.

During the period, life insurance companies raised their paid-up capital by 10 percent while  reserve fund declined by 3 percent
