Council of Ministers takes three decisions, issue of removal of squatters did not enter in discussion

The government has decided to allow the Nepal Police to use the land of the National Police Training Academy in Maharajgunj. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to allow the police academy to use 114 ropanis and 3 aanas of land belonging to the academy.

Earlier, the then Council of Ministers on 17 August 2018, had decided to hand over the land belonging to the police academy to the Office of the President. Today's meeting reversed the decision, said government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel.

The meeting also decided to form a talk team under the leadership of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance to hold finalization of the financial agreement and other related documents related to USD 115 million concessional loan to be provided by the Asian Development Bank for the Integrated Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project.

Likewise, the meeting decided to form a study taskforce under the coordination of Information and Communication Technology Advisor to study software and information technology-related issues in government bodies.

Minister Pokharel said that the issue of removing the squatters did not enter the meeting.
