At the end of the last FY, both the income and profit indicators of the bank have increased well. The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 4.01 billion in the review period which is 40.60 percent growth compared to Rs 2.85 billion of the corresponding period of the previous FY.
During the period, the bank's net interest income increased by 17.52 percent to Rs 9.42 billion from Rs 8.02 billion. Similarly, the bank's fee and commission income increased to Rs 2.59 billion from Rs 2.14 billion and operating profit increased by 29.06 percent to Rs 6.11 billion from Rs 4.73 billion in the previous FY.
The bank's profit before regulatory adjustment stood at Rs 2.51 billion after allocating the amount to various funds as per the rules of the Nepal Rastra Bank. After the regulatory adjustment and adjustment of the accumulated profit of the previous FY, the total distributable profit has been Rs 1.87 billion and after deducting the dividend of the non-redeemable unsecured preference shares, the total distributable profit has increased to Rs 1.75 billion. Accordingly, the distributable profit per share for ordinary shareholders has been set at Rs 9.08.
In the review period, the bank's paid-up capital stood at Rs 22.28 billion. The bank's total reserve fund has reached Rs 15.77 billion. Similarly, the bank collected deposits of Rs 280.92 billion and extended loans of Rs 228.45 billion. In the review period, the total assets of the bank increased from Rs 351.59 billion to Rs 397.38 billion.
In the meantime, its non-performing loan increased to 4.91 percent from 4.11 percent in the review period. However, the risk management has been strengthened as the potential loan loss provision has been maintained at 92.57 percent.
