Nabil Bank's Net Profit Nears Rs 8 Bn

Nabil Bank (NABIL) has published its fourth quarter fi financial report of the last FY.  According to the report, the bank's net profit, net interest income and dividend capacity have increased significantly compared to the previous FY.

In the last FY, the performance of the bank has been very impressvie. The bank's net profit increased by 33.50 percent to Rs 7.90 billion from Rs 5.92 billion in the previous FY. Similarly, the bank's net interest income increased to Rs 17.92 billion from Rs 16.32 billion in the previous FY.

During the period, the loan impairment charge decreased to Rs 2.67 billion from Rs 4.20 billion in the previous FY, which was the main contributor increase in the net profit. Similarly, the operating profit increased by 25.22 percent to Rs 11.56 billion from Rs 9.23 billion in the previous FY.

During the last FY, the bank has established a strong financial foundation to pay attractive dividends to its shareholders. After the regulatory adjustments, the bank's net distributable profit stood at Rs 4.69 billion and the total distributable profit after adjustments of the previous fiscal year stood at Rs 5.16 billion. Based on the number of ordinary shareholders, the distributable profit per share of the bank has been set at Rs 19.10.

At the end of the last FY, the total assets of the bank reached Rs 734 billion. The bank's paid-up capital has reached Rs 32.05 billion (which includes 8% non-perpetual cumulative preference shares worth Rs 5 billion). The bank's total equity stood at Rs 71.90 billion.

At the end of the last FY, deposits from customers increased by 12.95 percent to Rs 592.55 billion and loans to customers increased by 12 percent to Rs 460.31 billion. In the review period, the total assets of the bank increased by 15.38 percent to Rs 734.73 billion from Rs 636.78 billion.

Meanwhile, the decline in NPAs to 4.20 percent, net NPL to 0.58 percent, earnings per share reaching Rs 28.36 per share and distributable profit of Rs 5.16 billion indicate attractive returns for shareholders in the coming days.
