On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 5.30 points to close at 2,594.27 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.50 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.37 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.20 points.
Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction volume has increased on this day. A total of 10,044,164 units of shares worth Rs 4.10 billion were traded in 46,589 trades on the day.
On the day, shares of Sarvottam Paints are trading at a positive circuit level as well. The company's share price rose by Rs 137.50 to close at Rs 1,054.70 on the day. Similarly, the share price of Crest Micro Life Insurance Company increased by 15 percent and Nadep Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by 6 percent on the day. Meanwhile, shares of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha fell the most by 10.07 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover, Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 900.7 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 175 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Solu Hydropower crossed Rs 135 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of two sub-groups have increased while the indices of 11 sub-groups have decreased. On this day, the indices of development bank and non-life insurance sub-group increased marginally. The hotel and tourism sub-group index fell the most by 0.91 percent on the day.
