On Wednesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 15.43 points to close at 2,545.40 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 1.61 points, while the Float Index decreased by 1.01 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.66 points.
Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction volume has increased on this day. A total of 10,965, 542 units of shares worth Rs 4.19 billion were traded in 50,804 trades on the day.
Today, shares of Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company were traded at positive circuit level. The company's share price rose by Rs 39 to Rs 299 on the day. Similarly, the share price of Shubham Power has increased by 6.5 percent on the day. Meanwhile, share prices of Emerging Nepal, Sindhu Bikas Bank and Janaki Finance fell by 15 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover, Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list volume on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 427.6 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Central Finance worth Rs 170 million were traded on the day, while the transaction amount of NRN Infrastructure and Development crossed Rs 165 million.
On this day, the indices of all 13 sub-groups have decreased. Among them, the development bank sub-group index fell the most by 2.37 percent on the day. Likewise, the sub-indices of finance, hotel and tourism, non-life insurance and business sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent.
