The Office had set a revenue collection target of Rs 26.46 billion for the month, Chief Customs Administrator Krishna Prasad Mainali said.
Fuel imports generated the highest revenue among the major items, contributing Rs 2.29 billion, followed by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at Rs 1.8 billion.
Imports of bitumen generated Rs 1.4 billion while apple and pear imports contributed Rs 500 million.
Despite surpassing its monthly target, the Office fell short of its cumulative revenue goal for the first three months of the fiscal year.
By the end of the Ashoj, it had collected Rs 69.13 billion against the target of Rs 70.56 billion.
The Office attributed its success in meeting the monthly target partly to increased economic activity during the festive season. (RSS)
