AGM of 15 listed companies still pending

As per Company Act 2063, section 76, public companies must conduct their annual general meeting within one year for companies in their first year of operation and within six months thereafter.

Upon failure, listed companies require paying delay fee to Nepal Stock Exchange. As a result, 15 listed companies that have not conducted their AGM till date are set to conduct their AGMs on a single day as the end of second quarter of the current FY is pursuing.

Then again, there are few companies that cannot conduct their AGM in the stipulated time due to ongoing merger and acquisition process. Such companies need to conclude their auditing and obtain NRB approval before conducting AGM, which might not be possible within the time limit.
