IME General Insurance Earns Rs 27 Mn in Net Profit

IME General Insurance  (IGI) has earned a net profit of Rs 27.4 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 26.1 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the company earned net insurance premium of Rs 165.1 million compared to Rs 123.5 million of the last FY.

The company maintained EPS of Rs 45.09 during the period which was Rs 39.99 in the review period of the last FY. Similarly, it logged net worth per share of Rs 261.06 and P/E ratio of 15.78 times.

The company earned Rs 38.7 million in reinsurance commission and  Rs 8.7 million from investment, loan and other income.

The company with Rs 1.02 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 178.1 million and insurance fund of Rs 260.2 billion.

During the period, the company issued 25,293 insurance policies and earned Rs 332.9 million in total insurance premium.

The company has EPS of Rs 10.76, net worth per share of Rs 142.95 and P/E ratio of 26.95 times.
