Huge amount of Indian currency confiscated

Nepal Police have arrested two people in possession of Indian currency notes amounting to 19,690,530 rupees.

According SP Bishwa Adhikari, Police arrested them in course of checking at the integrated custom check post Biratnagar as they were entering Nepal on an Indian number bearing truck (WUB 73 E 7677).

The arrested are Indian nationals, truck driver Ravi Kumar Sharma and helper Papu Kumar. The confiscated amount has been deposited at the Revenue Office Itahari for further investigation, police added.
