Government calls for application for IBN chief

The government has called for a proposal for the post of the chief executive officer of the Investment Board Nepal (IBN).

Candidates are required to file their candidacy within 15 days, according to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

According to the Public-Private Partnership and Investment Act, 2075, there is a provision that appointment of chief executive officer of IBN is made through open competition.

IBN was established by the government for the promotion of foreign investments and investment expansion. The latest project coordinated by IBN is the under-construction the 900-Megawatts-capacity Arun III hydropower project.
