A committee formed by Minister of Finance Janardan Sharma to bring down interest rates before the upcoming election has suggested not to interfere in interest rates.
Moreover, they suggested maintaining the interest rates through competition.
The committee was headed by Babu Ram Subedi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance with members from Nepal Rastra Bank, Bankers and the Private sector.
The gold and silver price have increased on June 21.
