Premium Collection of Non-Life Insurance Companies Nears 16Bn

The non-life insurance companies have collected a total insurance premium of nearly Rs 15.97 billion by the end of fifth month of the current FY as per the data published by Nepal Insurance Authority.

The collection increased by 3.58 percent compared to Rs 15.42 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Out of 19 non-life insurance, Shikhar Insurance logged the highest premium collection of Rs 1.54 billion which is 9.64 percent of the total premium collected.

Rastriya Beema Company comes second with Rs 1.34 billion in premium collection followed by Sagarmatha Insurance with Rs 1.29 billion and Neco Insurance with Rs 1.27 billion in premium collection.

Meanwhile, National Insurance logged the lowest collection of Rs 413.6 million.

Moreover, Rastriya Beema Company also logged the highest growth in premium collection. It increased its premium collection by 144.05 percent.

On the other hand, Prudential Insurance increased its premium collection by the lowest percentage of 1.60 percent.  

Eight Companies Logs Decline in Premium Collection

In the mean time, eight non life insurance companies including Shikhar Insurance, Neco Insurance, Prabhu Insurance, Himalayan Everest, Sagarmatha, Premier, NLG and United Insurance logged a decrease in premium collection during the period.
