NEPSE Index Gains Marginally, Transaction Volume Declines

On the third trading day of the week, the NEPSE index has increased. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index increased by 0.08 points to close at 2,705.53 points.

Similarly, the sensitive index decreased by 0.20 points, while the float index increased by 0.10 points and the sensitive float index increased by 0.08 points.

Meanwhile, the transaction amount has decreased on the day. A total of 8,375,471 shares worth Rs 3.63 billion were traded in 44,541 trades on the day.

On this day, the shares of two stocks were traded at the positive circuit level. Shares of Sopan Pharmaceuticals and Apollo Hydropower were traded in the positive circuit level on the day. Similarly, the share price of Bungal Hydropower has increased by 9.37 percent and the share price of Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company has increased by 5.92 percent. Meanwhile, NMB Debenture 10.75% declined the most by 8.64 percent.

On the basis of turnover, NRN Infrastructure and Development topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 211.711 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 183 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Bungal Hydro crossed Rs 178.335 million.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have increased while the indices of six sub-groups have decreased. On this day, the indices of development banks, finance, hydropower, investment and manufacturing the processing sub-groups increased modestly while, of commercial banks, hotel, life insurance, microfinance, mutual fund, non-life insurance and other and trading sub-groups declined.
