There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in the Himalayan region in the country.
The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places in the hilly region, at some places in the Tarai region of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, and at a few places in the Tarai region of Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
There is also a possibility of gusty winds at some places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, the weather service stated.
Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, as well as the hilly and Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.
At present, the monsoon trough has remained slightly north of its normal position, close to the Tarai region of Nepal.(RSS)
