Governer Nepal Criticized Commercial Banks for Weak Human Capital

Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has criticized commercial banks for undermining and neglecting their human resource.

Speaking in the inauguration program of joint transaction of Global IME and Janata Bank, Governor Nepal said that  it is a humiliating fact that the bank employees of this era do not know to whom and how a cheque should be delivered.

He said that the human resource condition in commercial banks is so dire that the central bank will have to look after them sometime.

Nepal blamed the banks of neglecting the capacity building aspect of their human resource. He warned commercial banks either to invest mandatory three percent of their profit in human resource development or the central bank will take action against them.

Nepal Reports 259 New Cases of COVID-19; Death tolls 58

Nepal has reported 259  new cases of COVID-19 on August 4.  With this, the number of COVID-19 cases has totaled 20, in the country, of which, 5,925 are active cases.
