On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 48.57 points to close at 2,633.62 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index increased by 9.19 points, while the Float Index increased by 3.56 points and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 3.13 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A total of 20,387,413 shares worth Rs 8.29 billion were traded in 78,869 trades on the day.
Today, the share price of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha rose by 14.96 percent. Similarly, the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank increased by 11 percent and the share price of Multipurpose Finance Company increased by more than 9.5 percent. Meanwhile, Everest Bank's non-convertible debentures fell by 5.55 percent.
On the basis of turnover, Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 327 million were traded on the day. The company has announced a 30 percent cash dividend to the shareholders. Similarly, the turnover of Shivam Cements crossed Rs 315 million and the share of Api Power Company worth Rs 285 millionwas traded on the day.
On this day, the indices of all 13 sub-groups have increased. Among them, the non-life insurance sub-group index increased the most by 2.82 percent. Likewise, the sub-indices of the sub-groups such as finance, investment, life insurance and others increased by more than 2 percent while the indices of banking sub-groups, development banks, hotel and tourism, hydropower and microfinance increased by more than 1 percent each.
