On the day, the sensitive index increased by 5.32 points, while the float index increased by 1.87 points and the sensitive float index increased by 1.90 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A
total of 21,272,761 shares worth Rs 6.74 billion were traded in 64,072 trades on the day.
On the day, the share price of Snow Rivers Limited rose the most by 13.66 percent . Likewise, the share price of Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by 10 percent and Mailung Khola Hydropower Company by 9 percent on the day. Meanwhile, shares of Hathway Investment were the biggest losers on the day, falling by 15 per cent.
On the basis of turnover, Kumari Bank topped the list on the day. The bank's shares worth Rs 321.3 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Laxmi Sunrise Bank worth Rs 270 million were traded on the day, while Global IME Bank's turnover crossed Rs 230 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 11 sub-groups have increased while the indices of two sub-groups have decreased. The banking sub-group index rose the most by 1.59 percent on the day. Similarly, the life insurance sub-group index increased by 1.5 percent on the day. However, the indices of finance and other sub-groups decreased marginally on the day.
