NEPSE Index Marks Correction after Three Trading Days

On Wednesday, the NEPSE index has marked correction after consecutive gain in the last three trading days. 

 

In the last three trading days, the NEPSE index increased by 102.06 points. The NEPSE index witnessed a correction on the day as short-term investors secured profits on the rise in the market.

On the day, the NEPSE index decreased by 21.19 points to close at 2,612.42 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 3.77 points, while the Float Index decreased by 1.50 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 1.32 points.

Along with index, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 15,101,555 units of shares worth Rs 5.38 billion were traded in 55,831 trades on the day.

Today, shares of Narayani Development Bank were the top gainers , rising by 6.37 percent. Likewise, the share price of Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company increased by 5.5 percent. However, the share price of NMB Hybrid Fund L2 fell the most by 7.73 per cent, while the share price of Ridge Line Energy fell by more than 5 per cent on the day.

On the basis of turnover, Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company topped the list  on the day. Shares worth Rs 379.5 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 250 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Shivam Cements crossed Rs 165 million.

On this day, the indices of all 13 sub-groups have decreased. Among them, the index of hydropower sub-group decreased the most by 1.04 percent. Likewise, the life insurance sub-group index decreased by more than 1 percent while the non-life insurance sub-group index decreased by more than 1 percent today.
